How to Wash Baby Bottles

It’s important to properly sanitize and clean baby bottles. You can just put the parts in the dishwasher if it’s dishwasher safe. Rinse them thoroughly put them in the dishwasher. Make sure you put all the small pieces in a mesh bag or in a closed box inside the dishwasher designed for that type of thing. Be sure the parts go through the entire sanitizing cycle. Then remove them. If they’re wet at all don’t dry them with a rag just leave them on the counter to air dry and then put them in a clean place.

How to Wash bottles by hands

Use a scrubber that’s only used to clean your baby’s bottle parts. Fill the basin full of warm water, rinse the bottles out thoroughly. You have to use baby-friendly dish soap. Put the soap inside the warm water, swish everything around scrub them thoroughly. Make sure you’ve washed your hands before you do all of this so that you’re not adding any germs to the water. Let them air dry on the counter. Don’t pat them and rub them dry with a rag and then put them in a clean place to be stored until you’re going to use them again.

❓ Do you really need to sterilize baby bottles?

If you use bottles or pacifiers, you’ll want to sterilize them before their first use and perhaps periodically thereafter, but it’s not necessary to sterilize bottles after every use.

❓ Should I use a special soap for the baby bottle?

Yes – it is best to use a safe and gentle baby dish soap that doesn’t contain harsh chemicals. This is because conventional dish soaps are packed full of chemicals and harmful ingredients that can leave traces behind on your baby bottles (and pump parts, sippy cups, pacifiers, etc.).

❓ How often to wash baby bottles in the dishwasher?

Clean wash basin and a bottle brush. Wash them every few days, either in a dishwasher with hot water and a heated drying cycle (if they are dishwasher-safe) or by hand with soap and warm water.
